The stuff's spread all over the house, in spots as mundane as in one of the dozens of drawers that are mostly empty, or hanging off the side of the house needing some precise platforming in an engine that really does not work for that. As the title suggests Hide and Seek is what the children are initially upto, and you begin the game by hiding around the house from your little brother Aaron. Doesn't help that the two spinoffs, Hide and Seek and Secret Neighbor, re-use pretty much the exact same assets. The graphics aren't great, and some places are just abysmal, for example in the street that you start the game on the dirt clips through from underneath in several spots. Basically just the more you die the harder the game gets, and it can get to a point where it's nearly impossible to progress. Their "learning" AI is pretty much just the neighbor chasing you in a very predictable path, throwing tomatoes and jars of glue at you, and whenever you get caught, traps appear in the places you entered the house through, or cameras show up in spots that you need to pass through. on the 3rd level (the 2nd house), you can stack stuff and jump over a wall, skipping the ENTIRE level. On the first level, you have to stack some stuff and climb up onto a roof to jump through a window.
